According to the petition, “We believe that this will create a more open and enjoyable platform for all users, and will for sure make this tool greater than it already is.”
Time will tell whether or not they get the 150,000 signatures needed before Character.AI will take note of their petition.

Although some users have already found ways to circumvent Character.AI’s NSFW filter, if you’re tempted to follow suit, you should know that this is in violation of the platforms terms of service, and you risk having your chats permanently deleted.

Final Thoughts
Does Character.AI allow NSFW? Well, the simple answer is no, because a NSFW filter was built into is design so that there would be a safe and well mannered atmosphere across the platforms for its users.
While some users find this annoying, and so have found ways to circumvent the NSFW filter, it’s important to be aware that using such actions could be deemed as violating Character.AI’s terms of service, and if you’re caught doing so, you will more than likely be booted off the platform, and your chats will be deleted.
